QuantoTech, founded by Alycia Van Der Gracht, is an ag-tech company rethinking how food is grown through vertically integrated indoor farming systems.
QuantoTech was inspired by Alycia’s personal interest in where food comes from and how it’s grown, paired with a growing passion for indoor farming shaped by cold winters in Lethbridge, Alberta. Co-founded with her father, Peter, what began as curiosity quickly evolved into hands-on experimentation, exploring how food could be grown more efficiently in environments where traditional agriculture falls short.
Combining custom LED lighting, hydroponics, and real-time monitoring technology, QuantoTech enables scalable, year-round food production designed for local communities, reducing reliance on long supply chains while increasing access to fresh produce in challenging climates.
With a focus on scalability and real-world impact, Alycia is now leading QuantoTech through its next phase of growth. The company’s approach combines innovation with flexibility, allowing them to evolve alongside changing market needs.
Northern Greens is an umbrella brand for produce grown at various vertical farms in central and northern BC, and beyond, using QuantoTech grow systems and standards. They offer hyper-local, high-quality, fresh produce directly to the communities of which these year-round farms operate. Shop Northern Greens at https://www.northern-greens.ca/shop.
Through the APEX program, Alycia has been able to accelerate QuantoTech's growth by tapping into a network of experienced advisors and meaningful business connections.
“The APEX program has helped us accelerate… getting us in touch with some really brilliant advisors and great connections,” she shares.
That support has already translated into momentum, bringing the company closer to new deals while also helping shape its broader growth strategy. Looking ahead, Alycia’s focus is clear: continue scaling, secure new opportunities, and grow QuantoTech to the next level.
