Interview with Bobbi Leach of RevenueWire

Today’s episode of Between 2 Term Sheets brings us a conversation between host Owen Matthews and Bobbi Leach, CEO of RevenueWire & former CEO of FuturePay.  RevenueWire started 10 years ago and provides online payments for online merchants in 200+countries around the world, processing hundreds of millions of dollars in online transactions.

While working on RevenueWire, Bobbi saw the opportunity of launching an instant financing payment option for ecommerce retailers: FuturePay. The technology Bobbi and team proposed via FuturePay was both easy for online retailers to adopt and provided a seamless user experience on the shopper side. FuturePay grew very quickly, and sought out to raise 50M in debt. What happened next?

Listen to this episode to hear Bobbi and Owen Discuss:

    • When to raise debt vs equity – or when to raise both
    • Raising money from lenders vs VC’s – what do they look for?
    • Key lessons around fundraising that Bobbi would like entrepreneurs to hear
    • Whether fundraising is a full time or part time activity
    • Building out a realistic strategy for achieving high goals

    and more
